No brief. No client. No business plan. Just a question: could I build a brand from scratch, completely outside my lane, purely on instinct?
- MY ROLE -
Everything. Concept, naming, visual identity, product development, and distribution. Solo operation from day one.
- THE EXECUTION -
Built the full brand identity - name, logo, visual system - and developed the product around a simple insight: bar-top placement drives impulse purchases better than any menu ever will. Launched into wholesale distribution across seven Portland establishments within months. Sold out consistently without traditional marketing. Demand eventually outpaced solo operational capacity - a damn good problem.
- THE RESULT -
Proof that the skills transfer. A brand built from nothing, in a category I'd never worked in, that found a real market fast. Sticky Boy is paused for now - but the brand is intact and the concept is ready to scale when the right partnership shows up.
